Epocrates references are continually updated and expanded so you can be confident that you always have the most up-to-the-minute information at your fingertips.

You'll receive updates from Epocrates when you synchronize your device (wirelessly or through a cable/cradle) while connected to the Internet. It's quick, easy and FREE!

In a typical month, the Epocrates Medical Information Editors revise hundreds of monographs, so we recommend that you update your mobile products at least once per week to keep your information current.

Our convenient update feature provides you with free updates to your content, including, but not limited to:	Epocrates Essentials Deluxe	Epocrates Essentials	Epocrates Rx Pro	Epocrates Rx
New Over-the-counter medications
Drug monographs
Updated drug information, e.g., indications, interactions, pricing
DocAlert messages: drug recalls and safety updates from the FDA and CDC, plus medical news relevant to your specialty
New/updated tables and guidelines
New/updated disease information
New/updated infectious disease treatment guidelines
New/updated lab information
Formulary status changes (if you use formularies)
New CME/CE activities in your chosen specialties (if you use MobileCME)

Update Directions for Palm OS Devices:

1. Connect to the Internet
2. Place your device in its cradle or plug in your synchronization cable
3. Press the HotSync button on the cradle or tap the HotSync icon in the HotSync Manager on your device

Have wireless access?

Update wirelessly (and effortlessly) when you’re on the go:

1. Connect to the Internet via a Wi-Fi hotspot (device configuration may be needed) or through your phone’s data service*.
2. Launch the Epocrates application and tap the e in the upper left corner.
3. Under “App”, tap AutoUpdate.
4. Tap Sync to initiate the AutoUpdate process.
   OR schedule a regular wireless update (recommended):
5. Tap Details.
6. Next to “Timer”, tap Not Set.
7. Set the time and day(s) when you wish to schedule a regular AutoUpdate*.

Update Directions for Windows Mobile OS Devices:

1. Connect to the Internet
2. Plug your synchronization cable into your device or place your device in its cradle to activate ActiveSync. Please note that you cannot AutoUpdate by clicking on the Sync icon in the ActiveSync console.

Have wireless access?

Update wirelessly (and effortlessly) when you’re on the go:

1. Connect to the Internet via a Wi-Fi hotspot (device configuration may be needed) or through your phone’s data service*.
2. Launch the Epocrates application, and under “App”, tap AutoUpdate.
3. Tap Sync to initiate the AutoUpdate process.
   OR schedule a regular wireless update (recommended):
4. Tap Detailed and then AutoUpdate Timer.
5. Set the time and day(s) when you wish to schedule a regular AutoUpdate*.

Update Directions for Windows Mobile Smartphone:

1. Launch the Epocrates application on your Smartphone device*
2. Press the “Options” softkey and select AutoUpdate from the “Tools” menu
3. In the AutoUpdate screen, press the “Options” softkey and select AutoUpdate

Update Directions for BlackBerry:

For your convenience, Epocrates Rx for BlackBerry is set to automatically update your content wirelessly twice a week.

To sync manually:

1. Launch the Epocrates application on your BlackBerry device
2. Press the Menu Key and select AutoUpdate from the menu options
3. In the AutoUpdate screen, select AutoUpdate to sync your device wirelessly

In the AutoUpdate screen, you can also review/change your AutoUpdate settings.

Update Directions for iPhone OS:

For your convenience, Epocrates Rx for iPhone is set to automatically update your clinical content wirelessly upon launching the application (maximum of once per day).

To sync manually:

1. Launch the Epocrates for iPhone application on your iPhone or iPod touch device
2. Tap the 'More' tab at the bottom right of your screen
3. Tap 'Updates'
4. Tap 'Get Epocrates Updates' to sync your device wirelessly
